These are just a few of the places where you might just find a friend or neighbor
enjoying a hearty evening meal with some local gossip...
Beef Wellington; Pollo Rellano; Beef Tostada; Mexican Pizza; Poached Salmon; Cheese
Tortalini; Corned Beef & Cabbage; Seafood Chowder...
can only describe the wide and creative menu at the Yardarm
Restaurant on Route 28 in Orleans. This is truly the melting pot restaurant, a
place where every seasoned local arrives after a sabbatical away from the outer Cape. The
lunch and dinner special entrees are varied each day, with a good old fashion creative
touch of home cooking. The Corn Beef & Cabbage is a winner, the vegetables are cooked
separately so that the entire entree isn't over burdened with salt. Menu items include
favorite Mexican entrees which will appease any hardy winter appetite. Great desserts too!
The triple layer chocolate cake and the best carrot cake I've tasted in a long time, will top off the outstanding entrees. I ate
them both!

Jerk Pork; Bouillabaisse; Straw & Hay; Saffron Scallops; Garlic Fettuccini; Hot
Spinach Dip; Blackened Meat Loaf; Sirloin Merlot...
served in the nautical atmosphere of the Courtyard
Restaurant & Pub on Route 28A in Cataumet. Having never tried Jerk Pork, I
made this my first entree. It consisted of marinated pork tenderloins grilled and served
with sweet potato sticks and seasonal vegetables. The Straw & Hay, sausages,
prosciutto, mushrooms and peas in a creamy Parmesan sauce served over green and white
fettuccini is a local favorite, influenced by a combination of Portuguese and Cape Verdean
cooking. Try the Saffron Scallops sautéed in a light saffron cream sauce then garnished
with bean thread noodles and red peppers served over white rice. Be sure to begin your
dinner with the Hot Spinach Dip, a combination of fresh spinach, artichoke hearts, garlic,
spices and a mixture of cheese served warm with tortilla chips. Oh yes, the Blackened Meat
Loaf is truly blackened in a Cajun seasoning served under a mound of garlic mashed
potatoes. Join your friends in the lounge for a bit of gossip about the local fishing in
Cataumet. But remember there isn't any need for fish stories here, you'll hear plenty at
the bar.

pastel color will have you buying entire sets for special lunch, dinner entrees and
desserts. Great for gifts too! Open 7 days, (508) 385-3272
